 Who we Are

This organisation is a fully independent offshoot of the Institute of Aikido UK. We do not run classes but act a parent body for a group of New Zealand aikido clubs following the same syllabus as the IoA UK.

During Mr Fosters lifetime we were an affiliate of the IoA UK but we have chosen to operate independently since his death.

One of our major guiding values is that the teaching of aikido is a community service and should not be done for personal profit. Aikido is non-competitive and fosters a cooperative, supportive attitude which is not always compatible with competitive business practices
